(THE STRAITS TIMES) NANYANG Polytechnic is investigating a rumour that a video clip of one of its students engaging in sexual acts is making its rounds on the Internet.

Local forums and blogs have been buzzing with the news of Tammy, said to be a 17-year-old Nanyang Polytechnic Information Technology student who had taped a sex act with her boyfriend on her mobile phone.

According to one blog entry, the cheerleader’s mobile phone was apparently stolen by a girl who was jealous of her populari- ty.

The thief found the 4.8MB video, uploaded it and mass e-mailed it to lecturers and students of the school.

According to the blog www.bexafraid. com, the couple are seen having sex in various positions in the 10-minute long video.

Other blog entries focus on the possibility of Tammy being expelled from school although it is believed to be unlikely that the video was shot on school grounds. A group of hackers is also believed to have retrieved Tammy’s personal details from the school’s database and distributed it.

The Straits Times, however, could not find the video posted on the Internet anymore after repeated searches.

Blog entries about this incident started on Thursday, but bloggers noted on their sites that they did want to be seen as distributing porn by posting the video.

In an e-mail response yesterday Nanyang Polytechnic said that it has yet to positively identify the person in the video as one of its students.

When asked what kind of punishment would be meted out if Tammy or the student distributing the video was found to be one of its students, the spokesman said the school will first investigate to find out more about the matter before coming to any decision.

‘The rumour that the polytechnic is looking into expelling the student is therefore untrue,’ it added.

Bloggers were divided on their responses – some felt she ‘deserved it’ while others sympathised with her situation.

Said a blogger using the nickname Nypian: ‘I don’t understand why the victim should be punished. Isn’t she humiliated enough that it is in the open?

nv blog abt my 3rd day at work simply because i was damn shagged. 3rd day was like.. not really much to do, but just very tiring. Finish up my supervisor’s work. Then i check my inbox!! And guess what!!!!!!!! 1 of my collegue sent out an email informing everyone in the dept that i’m the new intern. Wa laoooo………. 3mins later i receive an email from another collegue asking me to help him with his outstanding job. In my heart i duno i felt happy or ()*&^&amp;amp;$!*@#$”*&$!*@#$*&@#

so anyway… i helped la… so i briefed me wat to do until 6.15pm. 15mins of my time!!!! I dun like. hahaha~ i only like to go late and return early. Bad working attitude. I know i know. But people NEED to rest. I NEED to rest. =p

Today! Haiz…. That collegue that ask me to help him.. i thought was to assist him only. And he actually told me today that i’m to handle the hold project myself. Great. Gotta liasie with ppl that are involved and they are from other dept. wa lao…. duno he wanna sabo me or wat. Or he’s not afraid that i’ll do a bad job and cause him to get screwed. haha!

itchy mouth, asked for work due to the immense boredom. Ended up with loads of work to do. Got to help 2 managers(1 of them is my supervisor) with work. *slaps my itchy mouth*. But actually it beats doing nothing. Nothing can be really boring. I’ve never felt so bored seriously. Not even during my 6mths holiday after the Os.

Nobody to talk, cannot walk, dun dare to use msn/surf net —> my god….*faints* but actually i did la. i used e-messenger and surf the net abit. *giggles*

but today never go out !!!! arrrrrrrrrrrrrrr ~~~ hope tml have chance. haha!!
