fb poker is fun because the layout rocks. but let’s face it, i need real poker. and that is precisely why i do not play fb poker anymore. it’s bout time to play for cold hard cash. woohoo! (do the poker dance)

What would you do when you make a full house on the flop? I’d slow play, and that’s exactly what i did on this particular hand.

It’s called trapping. You suck your opponent in slowly and try to squeeze them dry. I love this particular hand because it’s perfect for trapping. On the turn you make a bigger full house, and on the river you make 4 of a kind. mind fucked. so so sick!

it’s poker fever. i used to think that poker is all about luck. not anymore. it’s math. math math math and more math. strategies and  well.. a little bit of luck. when i go to australia, i’m so gonna join the amatuers tournament.

one in 4165. we are talking about the probability of being dealt with a four-of-a-kind. because of its rareness, a four-of-a-kind card combination is one of the most aspired and dreamt about hand in poker. flopping a four-of-a-kind feels great, smashing if you flop four Aces. not so if your full house got beaten. (i’ll talk about that later)

unbeatable! unless by a royal flush and a straight flush, but the probability? Needless to say i came in first in the tourny bagging 22500.  Grin.

talk about luck and good play. won 100 over thousand in the sit & go table, pushing my rank to PRO 250K. nothing feels better than winning hands after hands. flopping a set, a straight, a flush, one after another. and bluffing with nothing. it’s high stakes poker baby.

there’s something i need to work on though – learning to fold a good hand. and i mean a really good hand. then again, who could possible bring themselves to fold a full house? (i lost to another player with four jacks) sometimes you know your opponents has you beaten, but folding a full house? i don’t know if it’s possible. not even a pro poker player, i think.

my worst lay down  on texas hold’em ever – folding pocket Ks! the big blinds were $10, and i made a $200 pre-flop raise, and 4 other players called. pot size amounted to $1010. flop came out Q, J, 10. another player before me went all in $937, and i did the most unbelievable thing – laying my premium hand. 2 other players called and pot amounted to $3821. turn card was an Ace. god i was so stupid, i’d have made a straight. turns out that i had the biggest hand, no one else had a pocket pair. and the fella who went all in had shit, not even a K. sigh. i admit it was a bad read on my part, judging by pot odds and strength of hand i should have called. what had gotten into me man. damn. it’s all math. urgh.
